thanks to jon l. (thank you jon!) i have a free ticket to see bob dylan this friday night at jones beach, and VIP passes! i am so excited. i am sooooo excited! i have been thinking of the show and wanted to go but then figured it was too far or too packed and i didn't know anyone who would want to join, since i thought jon would have gotten his tickets already. i so wanted to go and now i am. but i wanted to go in a mellow way. and i think that's when things happen. you focus on them, you put your energy into the desire, but then you let go. and sometimes they materialize. i love bob dylan so much. he is my favorite musician. his lyrics, his worn voice, his incredible stage presence. there is no one else like him. so many of his songs reflect how i FEEL. he knows me better than i know myself (in a way). it's lovely and amazing. i am happy. (knock on wood)

Monday, June 11
adam taught me to do 4.7.8 breathing, something he learned at the andrew weil institute in arizona. you inhale for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 and exhale for a count of 8 seconds. doing this 4 times, two times a day will help you relax. it's surprising how a couple of minutes a day can make such a difference, but they do. it's also strange how hard it can be to take a few minutes to simply breathe. i have to incorporate yoga and meditation into my daily life. it's OK to be good to yourself.
